Sugar came to us from Jasper County, Indiana. She was a little nugget who is as sweet as can be.
She was found as a stray and brought to the shelter with two puncture wounds on her neck (looked like a dog had her by the neck at one point) that we’ve treated.
She had a few parasites but nothing that some TLC and meds could’t clear up!
Upon vaccinating, Sugar she went into kidney failure and wound up in the ER. It was also found that she has a genetic deformity in her vulva that prevents her from ever being spayed.
Between her deathly allergic reaction to vaccines and being unable to be spayed, Sugar has become a permanent residence of Pit Crew IL.
She now works as a socialization dog for the new pups that come in.
