Hobbes is in tough shape, but when he stares up at you with those soft brown eyes you see nothing but trust and love from him. His body tells a sad story of a past that was painful and so incredibly unkind. Though he can’t tell us his story we can see he had it rough. Each bone sticks out from under thinly covered skin that is bare and has sores in places. He has bite wounds on his neck and legs, some old and scarred some fresh, some swollen and possibly infected. His belly is full of parasites of every kind (GROSS) stealing whatever nutrition he could find. His heart is so full of worms that it makes his breath gurgle if he gets excited or happy. When he pants you can see that a portion of his tongue is missing as well. Even with his past what it was, Hobbes wants nothing but your love…and food! He follows you around hoping for a little rub and if you find that perfect spot on his back he rewards you with the biggest smile ever. 

After a life of hardship and no one to love him we have the opportunity to help him heal, a chance to let him start his road to recovery. It’s so important for us to help him get a second chance at a better life. Will you help us help Hobbes?
